About Franklin Gilmore

Franklin Gilmore is owned by three directors. We employ a team of experienced and dedicated Project Managers, Skilled Trades and Professionals to successfully deliver the projects we work on. Franklin Gilmore also work exclusively and only with a selected number of like-minded sub-contractors to ensure that each project is delivered to the highest quality, on budget and on time.

Our mission

Brett & David formed Franklin Gilmore Ltd in 2012 with the aim of providing our clients with exceptional quality and service. Having already spent 5 years working within the commercial joinery fitout sector, Franklin Gilmore quickly became established as the ‘go to’ subcontractor with our clients in London and Yorkshire.

With the ambition to grow the company, Clive was invited to join Franklin Gilmore full time in 2015. Clive’s involvement has since enabled us to develop our role as Main Contractor, with his experience in Project Management, CDM legislation & Health & Safety regulations as well as being able to offer Architectural Services to our clients.

Franklin Gilmore was established in 2012 and our three directors have over 70 years of accumulated experience in the construction industry.

More about us

Both Brett Franklin and David Gilmore learned their trade via carpentry apprenticeships, whilst our most senior director, Clive Webb, has been a director of large architectural practices including Percy Thomas Partnership/Capita Architecture and Boyes Rees Architects having enjoyed over 4 decades working in the construction industry.

We are dedicated to working with the most rigorous compliance measures. We are a CHAS accredited contractor, a member of the Federation of Master Builders and Constructionline. We ensure that our Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety management systems meet the current ISO requirements.

In short: our building sites are safe places to work where risks are managed with complete professionalism.

Through flexible project management we allow customers full involvement in the construction process with the minimum of disruption to client’s on-going activities.  We specialise in Value Engineering, ensuring maximum value for our client’s budget.

Franklin Gilmore also understand that the more efficiently we work, the better the outcome for our clients. We have transparent and effective communication lines between ourselves and our clients. We also use the latest project management software that allows us to quote with precision and speed.

Finally, we understand that the work we deliver often has an emotional link to our clients. Because of this, we have an exceptional ability to engage with our clients. We know that the key to success is having a professional relationship, and this can only happen with clear and effective communication.
